1- Develop the content knowledge about biology and biology education at expert-level and have the skill to do advanced research.
2- Work efficiently in interdisciplinary researches and projects, undertake responsibility and use the expert-knowledge for solving new and different problems.
3- Determine the suitable research techniques and methods in scientific researches, use the software programs for the analysis of research data efficiently and assess the research results in a scientific way.
4- Analyse the new concepts, opinions and approaches about his/her field of study in respect of their different dimensions and adopt a scientific and critical attitude and develop new approaches and solution suggestions.
5- Use the qualitative and quantitative research methods for the problems regarding biology and biology education and obtain original results.
6- Reach national and international resources regarding biology and biology education, question knowledge and evaluate it critically in respect of its different dimensions.
7- Design an original research regarding his/her field of study, implement a scientific method individually and apply it to different fields.
8- Participate in such scientific activities as conference, congress, workshop etc. related to biology education and write a scientific article on his/her field of study.
9- Take part in group projects to solve the questions in different fields, contribute to resolution of the encountered problems by creative and critical thinking skills and assume the leadership role.
10- Respect scientific and ethical rules in the researches he/she conducts.
11- Design suitable environments for learning and teaching, guide students adequately and provide them feedback.
12- Develop and apply different teaching strategies in biology education.
13- Assess the rules and principles that guide the relationships between people, take action to put his/her opinions into practise and assume the leadership role.
14- Adopt life-long learning and professional development principles, conduct self-evaluation about himself/herself and know his/her strengths and weaknesses.
