1- Coached members of profession know the societal characteristics of country and consider the national culture and values.
2- Having the knowledge and capacity to use Turkish language in a correct and an effective way and understanding the importance of Atatürk’s principles and reforms in the historical process of Turkish nation.
3- Becoming knowledgeable and skillful at human relations and communication and using these skills at professional and daily life. Understandings the impacts of these communication skills on development, education and interpersonal relationships of individuals.
4- Learning the basic concepts and commanding of literature related with Guidance and Psychological Counseling and using these knowledge and information technologies in professional life.
5- Having enough knowledge related with life-long development (life-long development understanding, development theories, life periods, importance of individual differences in development) and following the current developments in counseling program.
6- Comprehending theoretical information about individual-social, educational and career counseling and applying these theoretical information in practice at guidance and psychological counseling services in schools.
7- Knowing the basic philosophy of psychological counseling theories, basic concepts, personal motivation, psychological counseling process, principles and techniques of psychological counseling. Becoming skilful at planning and directing psychological counseling sessions.
8- Applying the principles and techniques of psychological counseling on clients who have different individual characteristics in different counseling environments (education, health, industry etc…). (counseling case management, counseling case process and reporting results)
9- Having knowledge related with the theories, principles, techniques and process of group counseling, developing basic group counseling skills and applying them in different group settings.
10- Knowing the basic concepts, principles and techniques, theories and measurement instruments related with vocational guidance and career counseling and applying them to different individuals in various career counseling settings.
11- Knowing the ethical principles and standards of guidance and psychological counseling program and applying these ethical principles in daily and professional life.
12- Knowing the individual recognition test techniques and using them effectively during the counseling process.
13- Becoming skilful at choosing or developing the appropriate psychological measurement instruments, applying them and assessing the findings.
14- Knowing the principles and techniques related with social sciences and applying them to the research process and reporting results.
15- Having knowledge about individual-society relations and social psychology theories and analyzing the relationships between individuals and society in the light of these information.
16- Being knowledgeable with the adaptation problems and behavior disorders encountered in different life stages and using these information in order to conceptualize the problems of clients.
17- Knowing theories and principles and techniques related with crisis and crisis intervention and applying them in daily and professional life.
18- Having information about family and marriage counseling, choosing and applying appropriate intervention methods.
19- Becoming skilful at planning, preparing/developing, applying and assessing the school psychological counseling and guidance programs.
20- Planning and applying psychological counseling and guidance services regarding the individuals who need special education.
