ThePhD in Tourism Management degree program is designed to meet the needs ofmanagers in the tourism industry and instructors/researchers in tourismeducation programs. The objective of the program is to develop (a) solidacademic background in the fields of hospitality and tourism and (b) strongresearch and problem solving skills. Graduates from this program can integratenewly acquired skills and knowledge in the areas of hotel, restaurant, tourismadministration, hospitality education and instruction to enhance theirprofessional career. Upon completion of the graduate degree, careeropportunities exist in the upper level management positions in the hospitalityand tourism industry or as an instructor/researcher in a tourism educationprogram.

InPhD programs; for students who have started the doctorate after taking thegraduate degree, the normal duration of the program is eight semesters, themaximum duration is twelve semesters, regardless of whether the student hasenrolled; The normal duration of the program for students who start the PhDafter taking the undergraduate degree is fourteen semesters with a maximumduration of ten semesters.
