Know the impacts of the use of patents as research database
Know how the use the patent search databases effectively,
Know the technical features of patent filing,
Interpret the patent research and review reports,
Know the national and international standards on patent, industrial design and integrated circuit topography
Have experience on writing patent description and claims

1. Week  Industrial property concept in global economies, Paris ve TRIPS treaties, development of industrial property in Turkey
2. Week  Aims and importance of the patent system and its basic functions
3. Week  National and international protection; protection inTurkey, PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) and EPC (European Patent Convention)
4. Week  Specifications of the patent (novelty, inventive step, industrial applicability), reasech on inventive step
5. Week  Review in terms of patentability criteria, review report
6. Week  Preparation of a patent application (abstract, description, claims, figures)
