Programme Information
The primary aim of our department is acknowledging Russian language, literature and culture and understanding similar and different features with our country and teaching Russian language as well as to become a professional, make it advantage for Turkey. In addition, our goal is a make the department a Slavic Languages and Literatures unit like in most western countries. Raising individuals who have known Russian in good level, have a command of this language, reading and understanding classical, modern and actual texts, conveying own thoughts and the others'''' perfectly to this language, evaluating the gained acknowledge objectively in scientific researches are among our deparment''''s aim.In our department we are teaching popular Works of contemporary Russia in recent years, awesome works of writers of the 19th century such as Pushkin, Gogol, Turgenev, Tolstoy etc., history of Russian Language and its development until today, contemporary Russian Language, history of Russia.These courses are in the capacity to create possibility for an equipped education and prepared to develop language skills of the students. All courses are given by experienced academic stuff. Department of Russian Language and Literature in institute of Social Sciences is leading master''''s program from 2003, doctorate program from 2009. Our department has opened a preparatory class since the 2013-2014 academic year.
