- Must know and practice dental matierials used in clinics and laboratories.
- Must have sufficient knowledge on the biocompatibility of dental materials.
- Must know and perform the methods of scientific research and review recent literature.
- Must practice the removable partial prosthesis, prosthesis with precision attachments, combined prosthesis, complete denture, overdenture, immediate denture.
- Must practice crown-bridge prosthesis, partial crowns, porcelain laminate veneers, adhesive bridges, fiber reinforced bridges, metal supported or porcelain inlay-onlay restorations and post core restorations. Must know how to practice dental ceramic types.
- Must perform reconstruction of maxillofacial defects. Must learn the construction steps of radiotherapy prosthesis and prosthetic reconstruction of patients with cleft lip-palate, and epithesis.
- Must prepare surgical stent and splint to be used in surgical procedures and practice apnea prosthesis to the indicated patients.
- For all the treatments stated above, must perform individual diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Must learn how to evaluate radiological and clinical findings. Must be able to obtain and analyze diagnostic model to make treatment planning, and must know how to get suitable impression tecniques.
- Must establish appropriate and courteus communication with the patients. Must be aware of the responsibilities of the patient and dentist.
