To explain what are the endocrine glands for and what are their functions and advanced working mechanisms?
To explain the principals of hormone receptors, signal transduction mechanisms and cellular response.
To define what is basic cellular (endokrin cells and target cells) changes in endocrine disorders?
To define Anterior Pituitary hormones and hypothalamic hormones, their action mechanisms and related drugs.
To define thyroid gland hormons, anti-thyroid drugs, their action mechanisms and related disease states.
To define the gastroenteropancreatic hormons, oroxigenic and anorexigenic peptides, their action mechanisms and new drug targets.
To define the pancreatic peptides, action mechanism of insulin, insulin preparations and oral anti-diabetic agents.
To explain the steroid hormone actions and cellular mechanisms, related diseases, related drugs and their action mechanisms.
To define Posterior Pituitary hormones and hypothalamic hormones, their action mechanisms and related drugs.
To discuss the mechanism of action of current and new drugs used to treat endocrine disorders.

5. Week  Glucocorticoids,mineralocorticoids, related drugs action mechanisms.
6. Week  Steroid-binding G-protein-coupled receptors: new drug discovery targets.
7. Week  Androgen receptor-cofactor interactions as targets for new drug discovery
8. Week  Drugs Affecting the Thyroid, Parathyroid Glands and their functions.
9. Week  Nuclear Hormone Receptors as Targets for New Drug Discovery.
10. Week  Drugs Affecting the Pituitary Gland Anterior Pituitary Gland Conditions.
11. Week  Growth Hormone, Growth hormone secretagogue receptor action and related drugs.
12. Week  Drugs Affecting the Pancreas and gastroenteropancreatic hormons.
