1. Week  Heat transfer from finned surfaces.
2. Week  Derivation of the general conduction equation.
3. Week  Numerical discretization of conduction equations.
4. Week  Review of fluid mechanic equations.
5. Week  Numerical treatment of the steady and unsteady conduction problems.
6. Week  Derivation of the general convection equation and finite difference discretization.
7. Week  Treatment of convection problems numerically with boundary layer approximation.
8. Week  Midterm- Exam
9. Week  Logarithmic temperature difference and NTU
10. Week  The inner heat transfer coefficient of engine cylinder.
11. Week  The outer heat transfer coefficient of engine cylinder.
