To know the important events that contribute to the historical development of public health and public health nursing
To know the philosophy, current roles and functions of public health nursing
To be have knowledge about national health system, organizations and institutions
 To know the factors affecting public health, can define the state of community health
To discuss the functioning of the family system as a service unit, factors affecting the family
To use the home visit process effectively to improve family health and care needs
Tp plan and implement health education for health promotion
Knows health needs and risk conditions in different age periods (children, adolescents, elderly) and can analyze health needs
To paticipate in child and adolescent health studies
To have knowledge about assessment, monitoring and intervention of women's health Comprehend the basic strategies of etiology and prevention of noncommunicable diseases
To discuss the role and functions of public health nurse in improving employee health
To interpret the relationship between population, environment and development
To express an opinion on the importance and priority of health needs of disadvantaged groups in health.

Explain phylosophy of public health nursing.
List roles and responsibilities of public health nurse.
Know factors that effect public health and how can determine of public health status.
Explain health system and organisations and know responsibilities of health institutions.
Explain sructure and functions of families and know factors determine family health.
Can plan and effectively implement health education for individuals, families and groups.
Can explain common risk factors for non-communicable disease and importance of survey of risk factors.
Comment on the relationship between population, environment and development.
Can discuss the importance and priority of health needs of disadvantaged groups.
