Understand the history and development trends of City Centers
Define the major landuses in city centers and describe the relationship of these landuses with theories of urban growth
Understand the spatial, social, economic and political relationships of shopping streets and commercial areas in city centers
Learn site selection and development criteria of city centers
Develop a critical approach for city center development and evaluate various urban policies at international and national scale
Discuss the multidimensional relationship between shopping centers and city centers
Evaluate consumption and manufacturing spaces
