Profile of the Programme
In a wider context, the mission of the Physical Education and Sport program is to prepare professionals that will practice their profession with the firm purpose to advance basic and applied knowledge in the field of Physical Education and Sport, through their professional and scholarly activities contributing in solving the daily health related problems of our society which results in human benefit. We aim to provide teaching in the subject area that is broad based, intellectually coherent and multidisciplinary; that builds on skills and knowledge acquired previously within the program and is informed by a research base of international standard. The Doctorate programme is a four-year degree which encompasses both coursework and research. The first two year involves coursework and preliminary research preparation followed by PhD Thesis.
