1. Knowledge basis: • To define therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) • To explain the rationale (goals) of TDM.
2. Skills basis : • To be validation of the method • To extract of one drug from plasma • Perform a drug analysis with HPLC
3. Attitude basis: • To be aware of the importance of TDM for the drugs with a narrow therapeutic window and the higher potency of toxic effect

  The mode of delivery of this course is Face to face
 --WEEKLY SCHEDULE
1. Week  Theoretical: objectives and implementation of TDM
2. Week  Theoretical: Why TDM? Examples and principles of drugs that are monitored by TDM
3. Week  Theoretical: Pharmacokinetic parameters and the use for TDM
4. Week  Theoretical: The rules and guidelines on the implementation of TDM (FDA and the EMA rules)
5. Week  Practical: discussion of the cases
6. Week  Theoretical: HPLC and operating principles
7. Week  Practical: the use of HPLC
8. Week  Practical: the use of HPLC
9. Week  Visit to Novagenix
10. Week  Methods of determination 0f pharmaceutical active compounds and / or metabolites in physiological fluids and validation of methods
11. Week  Practical: Extraction of the drug from plasma
12. Week  Practical: To obtain the calibration curve using HPLC
13. Week  Practical: Calculate the value of CV
14. Week  Interpretation of the test results and report preparation
