To have ability to develop new analytical methods in the field of atomic spectroscopy and make publication.

 --WEEKLY SCHEDULE
1. Week  Plasma for atomization-ionization, instrumentation, axial and radial designs in ICP-OES techniques.
2. Week  Sequential and simultaneous ICP-OES, optical designs, monochromator and detector systems.
3. Week  Strategies for multielement determination, use of internal standard, detection limits, interferences, analytical applications.
4. Week  ICP-MS, General information about mass analyzers, Instrumentation, Quadrupole, Time of flight - ICP-MS, Interferences.
5. Week  Alternative sample introduction techniques in plasma spectrometry, ETV-ICP-OES, ETV- ICP-MS.
6. Week  Slurry sample introduction and ETAAS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS.
7. Week  Solid sample anlysis, analytical approaches to prepare standards, ETAAS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS applications.
8. Week   Laser ablation and plasma spectrometry, Instrumentation.
9. Week  Chromatography-plasma techniques, speciation analysis, on-line solid phase extraction.
10. Week  Chromatography-plasma techniques, speciation analysis, on-line solid phase extraction.
11. Week  Atomic Fluorescence spectrometers (AFS), principles of AFS, analytical performance characteristics, interferences.
12. Week  HPLC-AFS, AFS for speciation analysis
13. Week  Lase Induced breakdown spectrometers (LIBS), analytical performans characteristics.
14. Week  Evaluation criteria in spectrochemical techniques, choosing an analytical technique for a defined analytical problem. Homework presentations.
