The students will be able to Apply basic principles of strength of materials,
The students will be able to Explain the deformation mechanisms in engineering materials,
The students will be able to Explain the mechanisms of strengthening in engineering materials,
The students will be able to Understand the principles of LEFM and use them in some design problems,
The students will be able to Understand the principles of fatigue and use this information indesign problems against fatigue,
The students will be able to Understand the principles of creep and use this information for high temperature applications.
