The students who succeeded in this course will be able to: Explain the basic tools of Type-1 and Type-2 fuzzy logic systems.
Explain the advantages and disadvantages of Type-1 and Type-2 fuzzy systems according to each other.
Come up with a solution to the problems in the field of engineering by applying theType-1 and Type-2 fuzzy system
Examine and analyze applications performed with the type-1 and type-2 fuzzy logic systems.

 --WEEKLY SCHEDULE
1. Week  Type-1 Fuzzy Logic Theory
2. Week  Type-1 Fuzzy Sets: Type1-fuzzy set representations, Type-1 membership functions, Type-1 fuzzy set operations.
3. Week  Type-1 Fuzzy Relations and Type-1 Fuzzy Compositions: Cartesian product, Sharp relations, Type-1 fuzzy relations, Composition operators.
4. Week  Type-1 Fuzzy Inference: Linguistic variables, Type-1 fuzzy rules; Type-1 fuzzy implication functions.
5. Week  Type-1 Fuzzy Logic Defuzzification Process
6. Week  Type-1 Fuzzy Logic System Models: Mamdani Fuzzy Model, Sugeno Fuzzy Model.
7. Week  Design of Type 1 Fuzzy Systems: Fuzzification, consisting of rule and database, inference engine, defuzzification.
8. Week  Midterm exam.
9. Week  Type-2 Fuzzy Logic Theory
10. Week  Type-2 Fuzzy Sets: Type-2 fuzzy set representations, Type-2 membership functions, Interval Type-2 fuzzy sets, Type-2 fuzzy set operations.
11. Week  Type-2 Fuzzy Logic Systems: Singleton Type-2 fuzzy logic system, Nonsingleton fuzzy logic system, Sugeno type-2 fuzzy logic system.
12. Week  Design of Type 2 Fuzzy Logic Systems: fuzzification operations, rule base operations, inference operations, Type reduction operations, Defuzzification operations.
13. Week  Application of Type-1 and Type-2 Fuzzy Logic Systems to Engineering Problems.
