Students who have successfully completed this course; understand the concept of smart grid and know the differences between traditional power system and smart grids,
recognize sensing, measurement, control and automation technologies in smart grids,
know power quality management, outage management, demand side management and demand response,
know network integration of renewable and distributed generation and energy storage technologies,
know the data management requirements and cyber security issues for smart networks.
