Students will become familiar with the historical and current reading theory and research.
Students will become familiar with the historical and current writing theory & research
Students will be able to articulate the role of second language literacy in second language development as well as in cognitive and academic developme
Students will be able to articulate the relationship between first and second language reading and writing.
Studentsi will gain experience in evaluating different reading materials.
Students will develop a set of pedagogical practices for teaching literacy in L2.
Students will develop critical reading, thinking and academic writing skills
