Graduation Requirements
A seminar class, thesis and at least 24 credit courses must be taken to graduate from a doctorate program for students with master degree. A seminar class, thesis and at least 42 credit courses must be taken to graduate from a doctorate program for students with B. S. degree. Both field courses and thesis are noncredit. Student in doctorate program must complete successfully all elective courses which are available (240 ECTS total). For students with M.S. degree, students have maximum six years to complete a doctorate degree. For students with B. S. degree, students have maximum nine years to complete a doctorate degree. They have to complete their courses at six years. Proficiency exam consist of oral and written exam. The program students should get at least 75/100 in proficiency exam. Students who are successfully their written exam will take oral examination. After students complete successfully their proficiency exam, they defend verbally thesis suggestion by their thesis committee. They have to be successful at oral examination in doctorate defended exam by their thesis committee So they will be accepted to take a Ph. D. degree.
