The Department of Immunology in Gazi University is one of twelve independent departmens in medical schools in Turkey. Seven academicals have been working for research and educational activities in the department. Immunology master of science and PhD. degrees are possible to receive in this department with the constitution of the Health Sciences Instution. Immunology research laboratory is well-equipped and following techniques can be applied easily:preperations and optimisation of in-house ELISA kits, purification of antigens and antibodies, polyclonal and monoclonal antibody production, immunovirology and cancer vaccines development The objectives of the department are to offer high quality graduate education in immunology department, to provide students with excellent research opportunities and to teach students principles of immunology, advanced immunology, humoral and cellular immunological techniques, seminary skills.
