Understand the relations between the chemical composition, atomic bonding and the properties of Materials
Understand the effects of crystal defects on material properties and the test methods for the determination of mechanical properties.
Understand the importance of phase concept and phase diagrams, and use them
Classify ferrous and non-ferrous alloy systems and understand the properties of polymeric and ceramic materials.s
Understand electronic and electrical, thermal and magnetic properties of materials and interrelate them with the structure
Understand the importance of corrosion and prevention methods
