Explain terms and concepts related to weaving processes and woven fabrics,
Classify the weaving machines, comprehend their principle of working and basic weaving processes,
Define the concepts of weave, draft and lifting in weaving,
Prepare draft and lifting plans,
Determine and apply the weaving preparation processes,
Identify the basic weaves, their derivatives and methods for derivation,
reate plain weave derivatives,
Create plain weave derivatives,
Design crepe and corduroy weaves, study on colour and texture, realize the effects of colour on texture.

1. Week  Classification and working principles of weaving machines, intoduction to basic processes of weaving
2. Week  Description of threading draft and lifting plan concepts
3. Week  Preparation of drafts and lifting plans
4. Week  Introduction to weaving preparation process
5. Week  The basic weaves; plain weave, twill weave, satin weave
6. Week  Weaving of plain, twill and satin fabrics on a sample loom
7. Week  Mid-term Exam
8. Week  Weave derivation methods; plain weave derivatives
9. Week  Practise for warp rib, weft rib, hopsack weaves
10. Week  Twill derivatives; angled, diagonal, cutted, wavy, shaded, vertical, horizontal twill weaves.
11. Week  Practise for twill derivative weaves
12. Week  Satin weave derivatives; diagonal, slided, rainforced, double and shaded satin weaves
13. Week  Crepe weaves, derivation methods and practise
14. Week  Cordroi weaves and practise
15. Week  Colour and texture effects
16. Week  Final Exam
