Explain the definition, historical evolution, the importance of knitting, properties of knit fabrics & the places knits are used,
Recognize all the concepts & terms of hand driven flat knitting,
Explain all types of hand driven flat knitting machines,
Compose knit patterns on a hand flat knitting machine,
Compose various surface knits,
Develop knowledge & practical skills in detecting knitting defects & employ quality control .

5. Week  Steps for preparing machines for knitting,
6. Week  Basic knits, their notations, classifications & properties,
7. Week   Mid-term Exam
8. Week   Derivative knits,
9. Week   Knitting patterns (2 or 3 colored),
10. Week  Pattern Reporting.
11. Week   Exercise in knitting,
12. Week   Knitting intarsia,
13. Week   Knitting braids, cables & cords
14. Week  Quality control of knitted goods,
15. Week   Reasons of knitting defects,
