They can learn historical-evolutional development of language
They can interpret the relationships between language and politics
They can be aware of importance of language in terms of government
They can know the place of language in social structure
They can learn ethnic dimension of language
They can learn some international implications of language
They can know the position of language in globalization
They can learn some effects of English which became a dominant language all over the world
They can know official language policies in different countries
