 --COURSE CONTENT
1. Week  The concepts of communication and mass communication, sorts of communication, classification of mass media, functions of mass media.
2. Week  Functions of mass media, peculiarities and subjects of Mass Media Law.
3. Week  Freedom of speech and thought, freedom of mass communication and history of Mass Media Law in the world and Turkey.
4. Week  The regime of printing press, the concepts of printed work and publishment, printing house, periodical and non periodical publishments.
5. Week  The concept of responsible manager of a newspaper or magazine.
6. Week  The right to reply and rectification.
7. Week  The duties and rights of a journalist, the agreement on press work between a journalist and an employeer.
8. Week  Self regulation and co-regulation in mass media, the legal and criminal responsiblity of the press and journalists.
9. Week  The regime of radio and television: systems and history.
10. Week  The regime of radio and television in Turkey and Turkish positive law on broadcasting (TRT and RTUK).
11. Week  Responsbility in broadcasting; the freedom of program regulation on broadcasting, and the restrictions for this freedom.
12. Week  The regime of cinema films and video: systems and history and Turkish positive law on cinema films.
