-- COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course aims for the students:
•	to have basic knowledge on curriculum and its elements,
•	to believe the importance of effective communication in teaching-learning process,
•	to rely on learning theories and principles in the process of teaching-learning and to prepare a lesson plan based on the relationship among the dimensions of curriculum,
•	to be able to change the plans prepared for an effective teaching process depending on conditions,
•	to choose appropriate instructional strategies, methods and techniques for the learning outcomes of the courses,
•	to implement the appropriate  instructional strategies, methods and techniques for the learning outcomes of the courses  effectively, and to believe that it is necessary to use different  instructional strategies, methods and techniques for an effective teaching,
•	to be open for changing and developing instructional methods and techniques, and open for feedbacks from the students,
•	to make students think about social issues by using different instructional methods and techniques,
•	to prepare a learning environment for questioning and proposing suggestions,
•	to accept that learning continues for life as a teacher.

3. Week	Key elements of the curriculum, types of objectives, defining objectives
4. Week	types of curriculum, features of curriculum, basic curriculum theories
5. Week	Instructional principles (from near to distant, from the known to the unknown, clarity, from concrete to discrete, economy, vitality, learning by doing)
6. Week	Educational planning and implementation (importance and necessity of the planned study, types of instructional plans, annual plan with units, daily plan, lesson plan, stages of preparing a plan)

8. Week	learning-teaching theories (behavioral approach, cognitive Gestalt approach, information processing approach, social cognitive approach, neuro-physiological approach, structuralist approach, multiple intelligence theory)
