 --COURSE CONTENT
1. Week  Introduction to the history of life and the origin of life, the main living ancestries.
2. Week  Nature of prokaryotes; structure, function and reproduction of prokaryotes.
3. Week  Nutritional and metabolic diversity, examination of prokaryotic diversity, ecological effects of prokaryotes.
4. Week  Introduction to unicelllar organisms, arising of eukaryotes and diversification initially.
5. Week  An overview of the origin of terrestrial plants and the evolution of terrestrial plants .
6. Week  Mosses, the origin of the vascular plants, pteridophytes: vascular seedless plants.
7. Week  An overview of the evolution of flowering plants, gymnosperms, and angiosperms .
8. Week  Mid-term exam
9. Week  Plants and people, introduction to mushroom.
10. Week  What is animal? Two opinion about animal diversity, the origin of animal diversity.
11. Week  Parazoa, radiata, protostomialophotrochozoa.
12. Week  Protostomia: ecdysozoa, deuterostomia, introduction to vertebrata.
13. Week  Non invertebrate chordates and the origin of vertebrata.
