2. To learn the use of ionizing radiation in diagnosis and treatment.

2. Week  Radioactivity, radioactive decay
3. Week  Half-time, Mean life, biological life, effective half-lifer
4. Week  Units of radioactivity, the calculations of activity, Decay types
5. Week  Production and properties of x-rays
6. Week  6- The interaction of alpha particles with target, the relation of range with energy
7. Week  The dose calculations from alpha particles
8. Week  The interaction of beta particles with target, the relation of range with energy
9. Week  The dose calculations from beta particles
10. Week  The applications of dose calculations
11. Week  Midterm exam
12. Week  The interaction of x- rays with target and the relation of range with energy
