Has knowledge about nature of radiation , ionization, radyoactivity, electromagnetic radiation and radiologic nomenclature.
Has basic knowledge about physics of ionizing radiology, biologic effects of radiation, radiation safety and diagnostic radiology.
Knows intraoral radiographic examination principles and techniques and takes intraoral radiographs.
Knows intraoral radiographic anatomy and intraoral radiographic interpretation
Knows necessity of medical history, takes medical and dental history, interprets the odtained data.
Knows the necessity of systemic diseases and oral signs and findings of systemic diseases.
Knows to consultate or guide to related specialist when essential.
Knows extraoral and intraoral examination methods.
Knows clinic, radiographic and laboratory examinations essential for differantial diagnosis.
Knows to evaluate the obtained data for treatment planning.

1Must have the necessary information about the normal structures of mouth and tooth and surrounding tissues, and their functions.X
2Must know the oral diseases’ causes and occurrence mechanism. Can identifiy the changes in mouth and on teeth caused by diseases.X
3Can coment on the clinical and radiological finding belongs to the diseases and if necessary can synthesize them with laboratory and pathological findings.X
4Must use all kinds of tools and technologies required by the profession of dentistry for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.X
5Must know the sufficient information about the supplies used in dental clinics and systemic effects of drugs.X
6Must have effective communication based on mutual understanding, trust and respect with patient, family, colleagues and people working in the environment.X
7Must comment the concepts and principles of the art of medicine, ethics and ethical problems.X
8Must apply the protective measures for the prevention of certain diseases such as dental caries, periodontal disease.X
9Must repair loss of the function, phonation, aesthetics and occlusion occurs depending on caries, periodontal disease, tooth loss and all kinds of traumas with prosthetic restorations.X
