Recognition of Prior Learning
In the Department of Design Culture; The regulations for comprehension of formal prior learning are well defined. A student who is enrolled in a Master''''s Degree programme in the same field at another institution and has successfully completed at least one semester, upon submitting all required documents before the deadline. Students who transfer from another university must be successful in the Gazi University English Proficiency Exam or in an equivalent English examination. The recognition of prior non-formal and in-formal learning is at the beginning stage in Turkish Higher Education Institutions. Gazi University is not an exception to this.

Apart from formal educational institutions in Turkey '''' non-formal '''' I mean the certificate or based on the experience (in-formal and non-formal) learning is the initial phase of the process is not yet recognized. Therefore for all programs at Gazi University '''' recognition of previous learning is not fully initialized.
