Programme Information
The Department of Turkish Language and Literature was founded in 1982.There are two aims of the Department: First, educating specialists on Turkish Language and Literature and preparing them for postgraduate education; second, preparing students as researchers on comperative studies in the field of Turkish dialects and literatures.The Department applies a four years undergraduate program. Graduate and doctorate programs were also applied in the Department in cooperation with Enstitute of Social Sciences of the University.There are 11 professors, 7 associate professors, 6 assistant professors, 1 lecturer and 7 research assistants the Department.
