Profile of the Programme
Fashion Design Department commenced training as of 2010-2011 academic year. The fashion design program which offers a 4 year university diploma degree, includes the basic Higher Education Board(YÖK) courses as well as theoretical and practical subject area courses. Among these courses are many elective vocational courses relevant to carrier opportunities, and Computer Aided Model Design courses aiming to fill the personnel needs of the fashion sector which is advancing with technological innovations. In accordance with their abilities, students can choose a branch such as Costume Design, Individualized Design and Ready-Made Clothing at the second semester of their education. Additionally, students have the opportunity to participate in the private sector or government institutions focused theoretical and practical Internship Training at the 6th semester, and are able to raise their career chances. Furthermore, they can advance themselves by benefiting from programs such as LLP Erasmus, AB Comenius, LLP Leonardo Da Vinci Program, 7th Frame and Youth Programs.
