Programme Information
Art and Design Faculty was established in accordance with the Decision of Council of Ministers, dated 13 November 2009 and numbered 2009/15546, and initial acceptance of students to the Fashion Design Department was realized in the 2010-2011 academic year. . Fashion Design Department, with its program prepared according to the Art Field Adequacy Framework, is equipped with the technological infrastructure required for training and has faculty members with expertise in their respective fields. Aim of the Department is to graduate fashion designers whose skills are in line with the needs of the Fashion Industry at national as well as international level, and who are capable of quality product, system and process designs based on research, with ability to transform concepts into models through scientific and esthetic parameters, monitoring the latest information and innovations in the area of art and design, suitable to team work, flexible and independent thinkers, ethical, leadership oriented, self confident, considerate of historical, cultural and artistic values and are visionaries.
