Learns the basic principles of nervous system pharmacology and provides rationalization of treatment options for diseases.
Learns the appropriate pharmacological treatment options in nervous system diseases.
Gains experience in the use of appropriate pharmacological agents in neuroscience experimental designs.

1. Week  Pharmacology and pharmacokinetics definitions and concepts, clinical significance of time-concentration and concentration-effect relationships
2. Week  Basic principles and theoretical models in neuropharmacology, neurotransmitters, neuroreceptors and signal transduction mechanisms
3. Week  Amine neurotransmitters of central nervous system: acetyl choline, nitric oxide and arachidonic acid
4. Week  Amine neurotransmitters of central nervous system: dopamine and noradrenaline
