Knows the products and substances of natural origin that are effective on GIS diseases.
Have knowledge of how bioactivity studies can be performed on GIS (especially on peptic ulcer).

  The mode of delivery of this course is Face to face.
 --WEEKLY SCHEDULE
1. Week  GIS anatomy and definitions, pre-informations.
2. Week  Peptic ulcer pathogenesis, Helicobacter pylori and its role on peptic ulcer.General treatment protocol for peptic ulcer at present.
3. Week  Important subjects need to be considered on choosing plants for antiulcerogenic activity determination.
4. Week  Designing a general antiulcerogenic activity study, preparation stage, experimental animals, model choosing, etc.
5. Week  Bioassay-guided fractionation for antiulcerogenic activity and isolation studies.
6. Week  Studies that aimed at detailed researching on determined effect.
7. Week  Effect of material which has activity on various antiulcerogenic experiment models.
8. Week  Natural sourced materials which has antiulcerogenic activity, their action mechanism, effective compounds and studies on this subject.
9. Week  Pathogenesis and classification of constipation, important issues and natural sourced laxatives.
10. Week  Natural sources that have laxative and purgative effects, their usage for constipation.
11. Week  Natural products that have antidiarrheic, emetic and antiemetic effects and studies on this subject.
12. Week  Gastroesophageal reflux and natural products used for its treatment.
13. Week  Hepatoprotective activity determination methods.
14. Week  Natural sourced materials which has hepatoprotective activity, their action mechanism, effective compounds and studies on this subject.
