Learn the style, form and decorative features of the figural samples on different materials such as stone, stucco,paper,textile,wood,tile,ceramic,
Identify the role of beliefs in the formation and development of figural style.

 --COURSE CONTENT
1. Week  Discussion of the Turkish Art in the light of geographical references and excavations-field works.
2. Week  Central Asia: Chronological determinations and different cultural environments.
3. Week  Evaluation to the samples of the Hunnicanimal-style in the Kurgan materials and some Wall-paintings relation with beliefs.
4. Week   Evaluation to the figural samples such as monumental statues, human statues and tomb stones in Kokturk Art.
5. Week  Discussion of the figurals tyle and foreign influences in the statues, wall-paintings and miniatures of Uigur period.
6. Week  Discussion of the new figural style of Turkish-Islamic period and the prohibition described in Islam.
7. Week  Mid-Term Exam,
8. Week  Evaluation of the figural samples of Karakhanids, Ghaznevids and Great Seljuks.
9. Week   Evaluation of the figural samples of Great Seljuk Era.
10. Week  Investigation of the figural samples of Anatolian Seljuk Era.
11. Week   Evaluation of the figural samples in the tile and ceramic art of Anatolian Seljuk Era.
12. Week  Investigation of the figural samples in the stucco, wood and textile materials of Anatolian Seljuk Era.
13. Week   Evaluation of the features of figural style in the miniatures of Anatolian Seljuk Era.
14. Week  Formation and development process of the figural samples which spread from Central Asia to Anatolia in the context of beliefs and cultures.
