Knows the history of furniture, basic concepts of wood furniture, definition and classification, seating action, seating cultures and seating ergonomics.
Understands the engineering criteria of important chair and seat characteristics in furniture history.
Function and functional structuring in seating furniture; know function analysis and measurement variables.
Comprehends the material construction and joining techniques in seating furniture. Knows upholstery materials used in seating furniture.
Upholstery techniques used in seating furniture; have information about stool, chair, armchair and sofa samples.
Knows the load-deformation characteristics of a seat with frame construction.
Comprehend the equilibrium equation of the system with internal reaction forces under the influence of an external service load in a four-member chair side frame.
Knows and applies the lamination technique as the variation and richness of shaping in seating furniture.
Gains knowledge of the functional and constructive aspects of office furniture with plastic frame outside wood.
Knows and applies functional and formal orientations and their constructions with today's living furniture.
