Students will be able to define and discuss the basic concepts of energy and energy conservation.
Students will be able to explain the historical development of energy conservation approach.
Students will be able to interpret the legislation on energy and energy conservation at national and international level.
Students will be able to interpret and discuss the objectives of energy efficiency, Students will be able to discuss the impacts of energy efficiency on the construction sector.
Students will be able to comment on energy efficient cities, Students will be able to define energy efficient building design
Students will be able to interpret and discuss the objectives, principles and strategies of energy efficient building approach.
Students will be able to explain energy conservation methods in buildings, Students will be able to discuss alternative energy sources to be used in buildings.
Students will be able to comment on passive and active building design parameters and systems, Students will be able to recognize passive and active design applications in buildings.
Students will be able to comment and discuss on energy conservation methods in tall buildings / kinetic buildings / intelligent buildings, Students will be able to recognize simulation software related to energy conservation in buildings.
Students will be able to comment on energy efficiency criteria of green building certification systems, Students will be able to recognize energy efficient building examples.
