Student who passed the course satisfactorily can: 1- Determine the types and characteristics of inventory systems.
2- Use economic order quantity model, production rate model, all unit discount model, incremental discount model in inventory systems.
3- Determine multi-item joint replenishment models.
4- Use inventory management methods under risk.
5- Distinguish and use inventory management methods with learning effect, time value of money and maintenance planning.

 --WEEKLY SCHEDULE
1. Week  BASIC INVENTORY SYSTEMS Definitions, Functions of inventory systems, Generalized inventory model, Types of inventory policies
2. Week  BASIC INVENTORY SYSTEMS: Deterministic Single-Item Models: Economic order quantity model, Production rate model, EPQ and JIT, All unit discount models
3. Week  BASIC INVENTORY SYSTEMS: Incremental Discount model, EPQ and shortages model, Periodic inventory systems
4. Week  BASIC INVENTORY SYSTEMS : Dynamic Models. Periodic review lot-size problems, backlogging
5. Week  MULTI-ITEM JOINT REPLENISHMENT MODELS Deterministic Multi-Item Models: Economies of joint replenishment, Joint replenishment order quantity model
6. Week  MULTI-ITEM JOINT REPLENISHMENT MODELS: Brown's algorithm, Silver's algorithm, Kaspi and Rosenblatt algorithm
