Students understand the operation principles of switch mode power supplies (SMPS).
Students can identify different SMPS topologies and know which topology is most suitable for each application.
Students know about the required control algorithms for SMPS circuits and design proper controllers based on the requirements.
Students can choose power semiconductors for SMPS applications and can take protective measures for these components.
Students can design the magnetic components of SMPS circuits based on design requirements.
Students can analyze and simulate SMPS circuits.
