To have knowledge about the characteristics of ashik literature year by year in Anatolia and to inform its representatives. To applicate some of folk
To become knowledgeable about the development process and the important representatives of ashik literature from the past to the present.
To become knowledgeable about basic terminology and perform areas of ashik tradition.
To achieve ability by using poetry and folklore theories on the common examples of ashik literature.

3. Week  Performers, structures and functions of type and forms and demonstrations of this features on text
4. Week  An assessment on melody, pattern and style in ashık poetry
5. Week  An assessment of "cönk"s, in turns of oral poetry tradition
6. Week  The teory of reconstruction history and assessment of ashik poetry according to the teory
7. Week  Reading and assessing the work of Jan Vansia "Oral Tradition as History"

9. Week  AReading and assessing the work of Albert Lord "The Singer of Tales"
10. Week  Implementing the formula theory in Albert Lord's "The Singer of Tales" on epic types in ashik literatüre
