To understand the basic terms and concepts of descriptive statistics
To understand the basic terms and concepts of inferential statistics
to understand basic statistics used in educational researchs
the determination of appropriate statistical methods for data
Using statistical package programs.

1. Week  Basic Concepts: Data, data types, statistics, descriptive and inferential statistics, variables, variable types, and so on.
2. Week  Statistical Software Create a Datafile
3. Week  Split file/ compute / select case/ recode
4. Week  Frequency distributions, measures of central tendency and variability
5. Week  Normal Distribution and normality tests
6. Week  Simple/bivariate and partial correlation
7. Week  Midterm exam
8. Week  Prediction Methods and Hypothesis Testing: Hypothesis, null hypothesis, significance level, the systematic error, confidence intervals.
9. Week  T-test (One sample, independent and dependent samples t-test)
10. Week  One-way ANOVA
11. Week  two-way ANOVA
12. Week  Simple linear and multiple linear regression
13. Week  Validity and reliabilty
14. Week  item analysis
15. Week  Non-parametric statistics:Chi-square, Mann-Whitney U, Wilcoxon, test, Kruskal-Wallis
