By the end of this course students will be able to learn freshwater resources of Türkiye and living organisms and species within these resources.
Students will be able to learn the relationships of the freshwater species with their environments and their biology by concept oriented approach.

  The mode of delivery of this course is face to face.

1. Week  First meeting, course content, resourse materials and literature refernces, a short evaluation of the course.
2. Week  Classification of freshwater systems.
3. Week  Physical and chemical properties of water.
4. Week  Properties of running waters.
5. Week  Classification of running waters.
6. Week  Introduction of a running water example and its properties.
7. Week  Properties of stagnant waters.
8. Week  Mid-term exam.
9. Week  Classification of stagnant waters (lake, dam lake, lagoon, etc.).
10. Week  Introduction of a stagnant water example and its properties.
11. Week  Properties of freshwater species.
12. Week  Taxonomy of freshwater species and introduction to their basic properties.
