Learns the structure and biosynthesis of water soluble vitamins as coenzymes.
Have knowledge about reaction mechanisms of coenzymes in metabolic pathways.
Learns diseases caused by insufficiency of water soluble vitamins.

1. Week  Descriptions, metalloenzymes
2. Week  Biosynthesis, metabolism and metabolic functions of thiamine, thiamine deficiency
3. Week  Riboflavin and the flavin coenzymes, biosynthesis and metabolism, metabolic functions, deficiency
4. Week  Metabolic functions of niacin, the redox function of NAD(P), synthesis of nicotinamide coenzymes
5. Week  Catabolism of NAD(P), urinary excretion of niacin and metabolites, pellagra
6. Week  Metabolism of vitamin B6, pyridoxal phosphate in amino acid metabolism, deficiency
7. Week  The assessment of vitamin B6 nutritional status, reguirements and pharmacological uses of vitamin B6
8. Week  Biosynthesis of folate and other pterins, absorption, entero-hepatic circulation and tissue uptake of folate
9. Week  Thymidylate synthetase and dihydrofolate reductase and inhibitors, tetrahydrobiopterin, nitric oxide formation
10. Week  Vitamin B12, bacterial biosynthesis and metabolism of vitamin B12, metabolic functions, deficiency
