1. Week  INTRODUCTION: Defination of the basic terms.
2. Week  HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF URBAN TRANSPORTATION SPACE: Before and after the motor vehicle.
3. Week  A TYPOLOGY OF URBAN TRANSPORTATION SPACE: Provision of a framework for further studies.
4. Week  TYPOLOGY –ACTIVITY-USE RELATIONS: Pedestrian activities, uses with respect to the typological framework.
5. Week   VEHICULAR AND PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC: speed, volume and density.
6. Week  URBAN TRANSPORTATION SPACE QUALITY: Live, semi-dead, dead urban space and activities.
7. Week  PEDESTRIAN WAYS and DISTRICTS: Classification, dimensioning, basic design
