Learning the borders and historical geography of Troas, Aiolian, Ionian, and Karian regions.
Getting knowledge on the origins of the local populations.
Learning about the historical developments of the regions.
Learning the research history of the regions.
Identifying the cities founded in the regions, the factors that influenced their establishment and development.
Analyzing the regions' interaction with surrounding cultures on the basis of archaeological data.
