To know how Turkish poetry breaks off from tradition. To recognize reflection of civilization to literature.
To know effect of West poetry on Turkish poetry. To know changing Turkish poetry after Tanzimat era.

1To improve and deepen the knowledge and competence which is derived from Turkish language and literature on the branch of modern Turkish literature.X
2To conceive the influence of modern Turkish literature (especially late history of Turkey, sociology, psychology) on interdisciplinary studies of whole social sciences.X
3To read, perceive and interpret the basic works of modern Turkish literature. To examine these works in terms of contemporary theories and methods.X
4Using the knowledge provided with interdisciplinary studies, to interpret the knowledge derived from modern Turkish literature and come up with new ideas.X
