Students have an idea about historical periods that in terms of administrative of humanities and about the government types in this process.
Students perceive the process that continue to change from 13th century to 19 th century which is the fact of nation state.
Students have an intellectual perspective upon developments in ancient governmental types of Turks and events in this historical process.
Students analyze reasons and searches in phenomenon of management of Turks from 19th century.
Students internalize difficulties and efforts of democracy in Turkey during and after the reform period from 20th century.

 -- MODE OF DELIVERY
  This course is conducted only in the form of face to face education.
 --WEEKLY SCHEDULE
1. Week  Government types in the history, the foundations of these government types; Sumerian laws, Hammurabi laws, the Egyptian government, Hittite management
2. Week  Roman law, Islamic management approach, conception in pre-Islamic Turkish rule, the Islamic period, the Turkish government case.
3. Week  The change in the Ottoman governmental approach, new governmental approaches from 19th century.
4. Week  Democracy concept in the place of Ottoman governmental pursuits, in this context the importance of Tanzimat Edict and the declared Legitimacy.
5. Week  Analyzing II. Legitimacy period which declared as new government model pursuit in terms of democracy.
6. Week  The turning of İttihat and Terakki movement into political party, the place and importance of political parties in democracy.
7. Week  The importance of relationships between government-opposition in democracy, in this context the foundation of Hürriyet and İtilaf Party in the place
8. Week  Mid-term Exams
9. Week  Analyzing practice of İttihat and Terakki government in terms of democracy (Press censorship, intimidation of the opposition, Bab-ı Ali Raid).
10. Week  The desire of democratization of new regime after proclaim of Repuclic, the foundation of Puclic Party, the efforts of opposite political groups.
11. Week  Organizations of the Progressive Republican Party and the Liberal Party and the unsuccessful searches for a multiparty democracy in Turkish democracy.
12. Week  The long-term one-party rule from the earliest years of the Republic in Turkish democracy and the effects to the democratic adventure of this.
13. Week  The effect of int. and ext. dynamics in the transition to multi-party and in the 1946 elections the establishment of the Democratic Party for the his.
14. Week  Period of Democratic Party period and government-opposition and relations during this period in terms of Turkish democracy.
15. Week  Military coups in Turkey Democracy and interventions period (1960, 1971, 1980, 1997), left difficulties into our history democracy.
