An introduction to the Theory of Classical Western Music.

 --COURSE CONTENT
1. Week  Sound formation and fundamental sound concepts: Frequency, volume, time
2. Week  The explanation of the concept of harmonics and timbre, and exemplify
3. Week  Intervals and the explanation in terms of quality and quantity
4. Week  Scale and scale types. Penthatonic, Diatonic and Chromatc scale
5. Week  Staff, key, notes and the demonstration of note valancies
6. Week  Using of musical Marks and symbols: Dotted notes, double dotted notes, truplet, breaks, rest and note relationships, and exemplify.
7. Week  The explanation of measure and time, 2 and 4 times measures
8. Week  EXAM
9. Week  3 and specific time measures and exemplify
10. Week  The concepts of Rhythm, tempo, syncope and exemplify
11. Week  The explanation of basic tempo markings and symbols, and exemplify
12. Week  The explanation of Dynamics and demonstration by dynamic marks and symbols
13. Week  Demonstration of articulation marks, ornaments and their marks and symbols
14. Week  Demonstration of articulation marks, ornaments and their marks and symbols via example sheet notes and audios
