1To get aware of the principals of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and get to know revololutionary history of modern republic of Turkey.
2To get familiar with the use of computer technology upon language teaching and linguistical studies, and to get compotent among this subject.
3To get compotent on foreign languages. To be able to follow current studies about Turkish language and literature, to contact with foreign colleagues and to share knowledge with one another.
4To learn Turkish with respect to speaking and writing properly.
5To learn grammatical traits of classical Turkish literature. And the script which is used in those works related to it.
6To apprehend linguistical features, alphabets and lexicon of old written languages of Turkic. To be competent to read the texts written in those languages and transcribe any of them, in addition analysing them linguistically.
7To master in compilation of folkloric studies and methods.
8To apprehend linguistical features, alphabets and lexicon of modern written languages of Turkic.
9To learn the periods of modern Turkish literature, their peculiarlities, literary movements, figures and works and to apprehend them through the method and theories of literature.X
10To learn phonological and morphological features of Anatolian Turkish dialects, methods used in dialectological studies.
11To read the basic works of anonymous or sufi literature and to interpret them in terms of ideological movements. Depending on the recent knowledge, to be able about formal features of the literature. To learn how to assess this competence in light of historical, cultural materials and contemporary theories and methods.
12To learn Turkish grammar comparatively in terms of phonology, morphology, syntax, semantic and lexicon through the methods of linguistics.
13To conceive the historical process of Turkish folk literature and folklore.
14To get acquainted with the methods and theories of universal linguistics.
15To learn poetics of classical Turkish literature, eras, sociological links, contributions to civilization.X
16To be able to create, edit and store the knowledge provided by the education of Turkish language and literature thanks to modern technological facilities.
