1To train scientists with high self-confidence in their field, who are specialized and competent in terms of academic knowledge and personality. To guide the students to study the fields about Western Languages and Literatures in which they wish to be specialized.
2To have adequate background information about French Language and Literature. To be able to internalize regulations, the basic values and principles about the job, and to be able to behave in accordance with those principles in their professional lives.
3To supply written and oral presentations about their field and to be able to present them. To have extensive vocabulary, correct expressions, the discourse and writing skills for this conveyance of information.
4To apply computer technology to learning and teaching language and to introduce this to the service of community.
5To convey the scientific, literary, cultural, economical, legal and social knowledge about French language, literature and culture into Turkish via translation. To acquire the ability to express themselves in written texts.
6To convey the scientific, literary, cultural, economical, legal and social knowledge about Turkish society, language, literature and culture into French via translation. To acquire the necessary extensive vocabulary and language skills and the ability to identify and interpret to be able to translate.X
